Today I thought I would share a project that my Mother made.
She is an animal lover to the bone, so when she found this idea online somewhere, she HAD to try it for herself.
All you need is a t-shirt that you're not using, and a box that the t-shirt fits snuggly over.
First you're going to cut off the top flaps of the cardboard box, and find a blanket or cushion to fit in the bottom of the box to make it cozy.
Once you have the t-shirt pulled over, you are going to tuck the sleeves in against the box. In the tutorial my mother found online they had stapled the shirt in the back as cleanly as possible. But mom thought it would be better is you were able to easily remove the shirt to be washed.
So instead, she used a couple of large safety pins to keep the back tidy.
Her one cat Mini loves her new little house.

ReplyDeleteThis is such a fun Idea. We just got an 8 week old black and white kitten. She has a black spot just above her nose. So we named her buttons. She is so full of energy and such a fun little kitten. We had to send our Lucy Blue Eyes back to Heavenly Farher two months ago. She was almost 20 years old she had dementia. Her last year we had to leave lights on through out the house or she would wake us crying like she was in pain. As soon as I would clap my hands and call her name she would run to me. Bless her heart she would get lost out in our yard. My husband and I cried it hurt so bad but the Vet said she was in lots of pain. Our little Tinkerbell (9 # rescue terrior) was missing her best friend. She wasn't eating she would just lay around very sad. Lucy and Tinkerbell slept together, they would run through the house with their brother Timmy 9# (rescue Dashhound). They would play together untill they would fall asleep. So anyway we have Buttons now and I know she will love this T-shirt box very much. Please tell your Mother thank You for the sharing her idea.
ReplyDeleteThank you for this extraordinary solution. I am gonna do this for stray cats.
