My Creative Scrapbook: September Kit Reveal Day #1~

 

I am so excited to say that I was lucky to be able to design with 2 kits again this month! So today I get to reveal some of what I have created using September's Main and Creative Kits.

When I saw the Main Kit this month, I knew exactly what photo I wanted to first create with. This is a photo of my beautiful cousin, from her prom in the spring. Stunning!

As some might already know, I love bits of gold when I scrapbook, so this collection was perfect for me!

I added this doily to my kit.

Funny story though, it came from an appetizer I had at a restaurant that friends, my husband and I were dining at. It was such a pretty and detailed doily, I just could not leave it there!

Then of course this little guy would appear on my favourite layout from my Creative Kit reveal.

The DiPenta Project: Part 4 {Military}~

Today with the DiPenta Project I am showcasing layouts that feature a Military Theme.

The first layout is a double layout. There are closer shots of both sides of the layout a little later.

Some of you may already know how hard it is to find patterned paper and embellishments that suit Canadian Military photos. Most military embellishments out there are very red, white and blue.

I knew going in that I would be creating using more generic patterns, and adding lots of texture instead.

For this layout I used a neutral map patterned paper, and added in texture using May Arts Ribbon, cork and brads. I even recreated a red, white and blue medal embellishment with ribbon.

I also found some great vintage vellum embellishments from Tim Holtz.

I had these great cork letters in my stash, which really seem to work.

My second single page layout features photos of Paratroopers.

I kept with a similar colour theme.

I used a gold metal tape to add a little shine.

Lots of tags, and more of those vellum embellishments.

My Creative Scrapbook: August Reveal Day #1~

It is that time again!! The summer months are quickly slipping away!

I hope everyone has been enjoying some nice weather, where ever you might be. Plus, I hope you are out making those memories and taking taking lots of photos to document later!

This month I got to design with 2 of My Creative Scrapbook's beautiful kits. So I decided that I would showcase one layout from each kit to begin this month's reveals.

This layout in particular is made using mainly the Pink Paislee, Atlas collection of patterned papers and embellishments.

Once I saw the collection I knew I had at least one perfect photo to scrapbook with it. Days earlier we took this photo at the airport of Margaret just before she was to get on a plane to head to Quebec for french camp.

This second layout is created using the Creative Kit.
