Gadget Girls Reveal Day 5~

This is the last of my Gadget Girls Fall Mega reveals.
I have to admit, I didn't quite finish this one at the crop. I had to put the finishing touches on it when I got home. I loved the first layout that I did using the Teresa Collins, Memorabilia Collection and Zoe's grade 9 prom pictures, that I thought I would do another with them.

All the patterns and embellishments were from the Memorabilia Collection by Teresa Collins.

Gadget Girls Reveal Day 4~

On this fourth day of Gadget Girl reveals I am showcasing a layout that I created using the Fair Skies Collection by Farmhouse Paper Company.
There are hints of purple in the photo, but I didn't want it to be over powering. So I chose this collection that is complimented with burgundy.

The Fair Skies Collection is available at The Cutting Garden.

Gadget Girls Reveal Day 3~

On this third day of my Gadget Girls Crop reveals I am showcasing a layout that I love for so many reasons. One of which is this photo and the memories that it holds for us.

How do you scrapbook a photo of my crazy family dressed in music themed camo holding tubas you may ask? Well with the Mamma Razzi 2 Collection by Bo Bunny of course.
My vision was an earthy layout with a little golden glitz.

You may also ask, what exactly is going on in this photo? Well the answer has to do with our family hobby of Geocaching. A local geocaching friend placed and named this cache in honor of our musical family, specifically our 2 tuba players. So we wanted to go out to take and post some pretty fun photos as a thank you to him, with his cache.

Note To Self: Get Sketchy~

Today I started to feel a little more human after a very busy weekend. So I decided to get crafty. As I do from time to time. To get myself in the groove I will start with a sketch. It's gives me a plan, and I let my creativity take it from there.

I chose this week's sketch from Let's Get Sketchy.

Here is the sketch that I based my layout on.

I chose patterned papers from Echo Park's, Not To Self Collection and accented that with buttons from Buttons Galore & More.

Happiness Is~

Happiness Is.....her Smile!
When I created this layout I wanted to keep the accents sweet and whimsical.

I created the background using dye and bubbles. I then kept a circle theme to accentuate the bubble background.

The buttons and brads are by Buttons Galore & More.

Gadget Girls Reveal Day 2~

The second layout that I created during my weekend away at the Gadget Girls Fall Mega Crop is one focused around my beautiful step-daughter. I couldn't think of a better photo to be showcased on this stunning Memorabilia Collection by Teresa Collins.

I forget from time to time just how quickly she is growing up into a beautiful young woman. The prom photos from last spring that I took, are just such a reminder.

I picked up these stunning flowers from The Cutting Garden and a variety of buttons from Buttons Galore & More.

Challenge #65: Scraps & Pieces~

It's that time again! Use It Tuesday has a new challenge for all of you out there.
This time around the challenge was to use your Scraps & Pieces.
This is something that I am horrible at, I keep all my scraps and pieces, but I never seem to use them. Usually I end up giving them away when the pile gets unmanageable.

So I went through my pile of scraps and found these patterns from My Mind's Eye.
I just couldn't let those hexagons go to waste.

The stickers are leftovers from an Echo Park collection.

The finishing touch, of course....buttons!

Gadget Girls Glory~

I spent this past weekend with approximately 150 crafty croppers at the Gadget Girls Fall Mega Crop in Truro, Nova Scotia. It was amazing to be a part of an event so full of passion for paper crafting and inspiration from their creations!
I was fortunate enough to be asked to teach classes to some very eager croppers and I am so happy to have had both classes sell out! Thank you so much to all that attended!

I love to come to events and see faces from the past and meet new crafters I hope to see again in the near future. We are so fortunate to have such a talented community of croppers and to have such a dedicated group of organizers to be able to pull off such an event like the Gadget Girls Fall Mega!

Through out the weekend I must admit I wasn't very productive. I think I was too busy catching up with old friends and meeting new ones. But with that said I did manage to finish 5 layouts which I will post all week long!

My first layout was created using patterns from the Country Livin' Collection by We R Memory Keepers. I have loved working with this collection!

I picked up these pretty flowers from The Cutting Garden (one of the 2 stores there at Fall Mega Crop) this weekend.

This was an event to remember here on the east coast of Canada.
Can't wait until next time!

Barrel of Laughs~

This is a layout that is inspired by these beautiful and goofy girls.
The patterned papers come from Down a Dirt Road Scrapbooking and are from the Country Livin' Collection, by We R Memory Keepers.

When I saw this embellishment, I knew exactly what photos I wanted to use.

The border punch is by Martha Stewart Crafts and the buttons are from Buttons Galore & More.
