May Arts Ribbon & Stampendous~

Today, the May Arts Ribbon Ribbonista's are hopping along with Stampendous products!
We were each provided with some fabulous Stampendous products to play and get creative with, and that we did!

I created this simple and pretty card using their Peony cling stamp and the Thank You from a great sentiment set.

I used  the 1.25" green silk ribbon, ivory burlap string and the green leaf ribbon to accent the stamped image. All from May Arts Ribbon of course.

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my May Arts Ribbon and Stampendous creations.

Pocket Letter Creations #1~

I'm not sure if you have heard of the latest craze in papercrafting?
Pocket Letters introduced by Janette Lane.
You can find FB Groups, and websites dedicated to just this craft.

I was instantly drawn to Pocket Letters, as it is a throwback to the late 80's and early 90's....my childhood. Does anyone else remember the days where you could sign up for a penpal? Other children around the world that would register to find a friend to write letters to.
I had penpals in England, Australia, Italy, and the Philippines. Some of these people I still keep in touch with, online and some still in letter form.
My penpal from Italy even came to eastern Canada twice to visit!!

So to say that I was interested in Pocket Letters in an understatement.
Who doesn't love to receive REAL mail. Something that isn't junk mail or a bill.

Here are a couple of the first Pocket Letters that I created.

My first Pocket Letter was created using patterned paper and embellishments from the HomeMade collection from Pebbles Inc.

Most pocket letters are created using Collector Card page sleeves.
I treat each pocket as a mini layout.

Then in the back of the pockets, you include little goodies for your recipient.

You wrap up your pocket letter, and often they fit into a regular sized envelope.

Here is my second Pocket Letter that I created.

I used the Harmony collection from Authentique.
The recipient requested a more vintage feel.

So much fun to create, and so much fun to receive your swap partners letter back.
Thanks for stopping by.

The DiPenta Project: Part 3~

I am back with another instalment of The DiPenta Project.
The DiPenta Project is an ongoing project that I am working on for the DiPenta Family.
They have a huge collection of stunning photos and memorabilia for me to work with. So I create between other projects. It has been some time since I have worked on my own heritage album, and I must say....I've loved the change of speed and style!

If you missed my other DiPenta Project posts, you can check them out here:

This first layout is created using the Precious Moments collection from Graphic 45. Perfect for this sweet little baby picture of Bertha DiPenta.

I added some buttons, Prima Flower and some oh so pretty burlap and lace May Arts Ribbon.

This second layout is created using a mix of patterned papers from Kaisercraft and Graphic 45. I also used some paper doilies, Prima flowers and butterfly, and some May Arts Ribbon lace.

The final touch is some hand written names and the date in some pretty glitter numbers.

In a heritage album we all know how important it is to include names and dates when we have them. There will be a point where the older generation will no longer be around to tell us who these people are, the dates and the memories.
But, this also translates to scrapbooking photos from today. There will be a time that someone will be looking at our albums and ask those important questions, who is that and when did that happen. I am as guilty as the next for NOT journaling, but we need to document these everyday moments.
We take the time to create stunning layouts, lets make sure we document them properly. It can even be as easy as sticking a post-it on the back of the layout with that information!

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out this instalment of the DiPenta Project.

Craft Lightning: Wedding Ideas~

It is Craft Lightning time again!!
This time around myself, and lots of other crafty bloggers are giving you some Wedding Craft ideas that will take you 15 minutes or less to create.
Thank you again to The Country Chic Cottage and 30 Minute Crafts for including me.

I chose to create a quick and easy table setting, that also just happens to be part up-cycled!

Project Recipe:

I was making pasta sauce on evening, while rinsing the cans I had emptied I noticed what a pretty variety of metallic tones they were. So I ran with it.
The can opener that we have cuts the lids off without leaving a sharp edge.
It just leaves you with the perfect little surface for the tealight to reflect.

Another super easy runner, is to simply cut long lengths of ribbon that match your decor and have it run the length of the table.

My Creative Scrapbook: June Kit Reveal Day #2~

Wait no more, it is Reveal Day #2 for My Creative Scrapbook.
Today I am sharing 2 more layouts created using the June Main Kit from My Creative Scrapbook.

My Creative Scrapbook is a monthly kit club that offers a variety of kits to suit lots of different crafting personalities. Kit crafting offers you products that perhaps are not available to you where you live, it offers stress free crafting! Everything you need in one package.

Word Stickers by Amy Tangerine.

I used the lace ribbon to create a sweet little ruffled accent.

My second layout I wanted to feature the acrylic stamp that is included in the kit. I wanted to create a photo strip style layout, and incorporate the stamp by creating a patterned paper with it.

I love to print photos in black and white, that way I don't have to worry so much about matching them with my patterned paper. Black and white goes with everything!

I also created a border strip on top of my camera stamped paper, using the #'s from the striped letter stickers in the kit.
