It is 11:48pm on July 31st that I am writing this blog post and I have just sent my July Sketch entry via email to the Cutting Garden. I am great with deadlines! I guess it's just one of those things, since summer has begun, I haven't been creating quite as much as I normally do. But I am determined to do the Cutting Garden's Sketch Challenge every month!
This is the layout that I came up with using this month's sketch. The patterned papers are from Fancy Pants', Down By The Shore Collection.
When you live on the east coast of Canada, and you are surrounded by this stunning nautical beauty every day you can't help but photograph it. I have scrapbooked many a seascape in my day, so sometimes it can be hard to keep it fresh.
This week at Use It Tuesday the theme is What Was I Thinking. This can be left to interpretation, I chose to relate the theme to my photos rather than the product I used. The photos I chose were all photos of me in the 80's and 90's, focusing on my hairstyles as What Was I Thinking.
The patterned papers that I chose I have had for about 6 years. The slightly torn glitter star, I have had for about 3 years. The buttons are new and are from Buttons Galore & More.
Stop by Use It Tuesday's blog to check out some more samples of What Was I Thinking and maybe even enter a crafty project of your own, come on...take the challenge!
Welcome to this stop in the Me & My Peeps Blog Hop. I hope you are enjoying all the craftiness that you have seen this far. I am so happy to have been given the chance to participate in this blog hop. I am sure like many of you, I have seen all sorts of Peeps on minivans and SUVs in my travels. Sweet depictions of people's families. I have often thought about what our little family would look like on our vehicle.
Here are the Peeps that I decided to work with for the hop. The little boy, little girl and accessories.
My first step was to adhere the Peeps to my water bottles, following the instructions provided for best results. Something with a dark and high gloss surface works best I found.
The moment this special little guy entered Lisa and Scott's family and my life, I knew I wanted to make something special for their family. I mean, what do you get a newborn that has everything? So this is the keepsake frame that I crafted.
If you would like to get a closer look at the details and get some more tips on putting something like this together for your self, drop by Buttons Galore & More for all the details.
Do you have a spare pizza pan laying around the house? If not, try picking one up at your local Dollar Store like I did. I turned this ordinary pizza pan into this adorable Memo Board for our home.

This week's challenge at Use It Tuesday is Birthdays. I could have made a quick and simple birthday card, but I decided to keep with a layout as usual. So I went upstairs to my room of goodies and started the search.
So here is what I found. The EK Success Title stickers I have had for about 6 years. The Martha Stewart Crafts Circle stickers I have also had for about 6 years. The Happy Birthday Patterned paper I have had for at least 8 or 9 years, and thank goodness I bought 3 sheets of each! I have no idea what I had originally had planned for this paper, but it must have been something good.
Here is the layout I created with my Birthday finds.
Stop on over to Use It Tuesday to check out what the other designers have come up with or if you would like to enter a Birthday project of you own!
