The DiPenta Project: Part 6~

I am back today with another instalment of the DiPenta Project.
This is an ongoing project that features some fabulous memorabilia and photos from the DiPenta family. I have been lucky enough to work with this collection to create their heritage album!

Incase you missed the previous DiPenta Project posts, you can find them below.

Today I am showcasing 4 layouts.

This first layout was created using the Nirvana Collection from Marion Smith Designs.

I thought the gold and black Thickers looked great with the layout.

This second layout was created using patterned papers that I have had for some time.
They didn't even have barcodes or names on the back of them, so I have no idea where they came from.

I hand wrote all of the family names and dates of birth.

The third layout is created using patterned papers from the Heritage Collection from Bo Bunny. I adore this collection.

I created this layout using lots of ephemera layers.
I also used some dark green irRESISTable spray on the background.

For this fourth layout I used the Heirloom Collection from Prima Marketing.

I love mixing textures on these heritage layouts!

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out another instalment of The DiPenta Project!

My Creative Scrapbook: September Reveal #3~

Today on the third day of reveal for My Creative Scrapbook, I am sharing 3 layouts that I created using the Creative Kit. This fun and bright kit features patterned papers and embellishments from Imaginisce, the Happy Traveller collection.

This first layout features some fun photos from when we attended a Mooseheads hockey game.
This collection of patterned papers have a definite travel theme, but you don't necessarily have to use them for just that.
For this layout I chose to only work with reds, blues and blacks. Then punched up the title with the yellow journal card.

I used the chain that the chipboard words came on as an embellishment as well.

Creative Kit:
Imaginisce- Happy Traveler Collection
Thickers
Basic Grey Buttons & Brads
Prima Flowers
Maya Road Chipboard Words
Bella Blvd Washi Tape
American Crafts- Shimelle- True Stories patterned paper
Ribbon

For this second layout, I just wanted to play up the rainbow of colours in which this collection features. So fun and happy....just like the sweet little girl in the photo.

My third and final layout with this kit features one of our last photos from our little getaway to Newfoundland, taken at the Gander airport.

I used the washi tape to help create layers with the die cut hearts, buttons and brads.

The DiPenta Project: Part 5~

The DiPenta Project is back with it's 5th instalment!
In case you missed the first 4 instalments you can check them out here:

The DiPenta family, has handed over all of their precious photos and memorabilia to let me document  and create. I have loved working with this collection of memories.
Their collection is so well documented, it has made creating so easy!
So here are a few of the more manly creations that I have been working on for this heritage album.

All three of these layouts are created using the Sears & Son collection from Kaisercraft.
The PERFECT collection for these photos!

Some simple additions of appropriate letter stickers with the important information is embellishment enough with these great manly patterns.

I'm going to say it....this next layout is probably my favourite so far!

Layout wise it's pretty simple, a good mix of just a few patterned papers. I added lots of texture however with the embellishments. There is a cork border, mesh ribbon from May Arts, and then the cluster of chipboard and metal embellishments.

I think it worked REALLY well with the oh so cool photo!

The third layout I also wanted to keep simple when it came to the patterns.

I didn't want to take away from the memorabilia, so I simply added some buttons.
For the memorabilia, I pulled out the clear photo corners. A great way to keep those little bits in place without using adhesive on them. I used regular black photo corners on the photo.

Thank you again so very much for stopping by to check out this instalment of the DiPenta Project.
Stay tuned for more!

Sketches in Thyme: August Week 3 Reveal~

It's Reveal Day for the Week 3 crew at Sketches in Thyme.

Here is the sketch that my layout is based on.

I chose to work with the So Fancy collection from Simple Stories.
I won this collection as a part of National Scrapbooking Day from Simple Stories and I adore it!
The patterns and colours are just SO pretty together.

I used a little ribbon from May Arts Ribbon of course. I used a couple of layers of the pink tulle to give a soft look, tied with pieces of burlap string.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my layout inspired by Sketches in Thyme.
