My Creative Scrapbook: Creative Kit Reveal~

It's Reveal Day at My Creative Scrapbook!!
I was asked to be a Guest Designer for the month of February, and I was so excited to accept the offer! Shortly after, this beautiful kit arrived in the mail!

Each month My Creative Scrapbook creates multiple stunning kits packed with patterned papers and goodies for you to choose from.
I created using their Creative Kit.
This kit features patterned papers and stickers from Echo Park's Anything Goes Collection.
Here are some of my creations!

This kit also featured stickers from Kaisercraft and Heidi Swapp.

I added some great natural twine from May Arts Ribbon.

This layout featured some very pretty Washi Tape from Bella Blvd. Stay tuned for a tutorial on how to make this oh so pretty flower, up on the My Creative Scrapbook blog.

I used washi tape to create a pattern on the bottom of the layout, a quick and easy way to make a bold stripe.

Have you ever used pop can tabs on a layout? You may have noticed that these days they come in a rainbow of colours, they make great metallic accents, and are perfect as ribbon charms.

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my reveal for My Creative Scrapbook!

Sketchabilities Reveal #132~

Today I have another fabulous Sketch from Sketchabilities to reveal, and my take on it!
When you get in a little bit of winter scrapbooking funk, try getting out a great sketch to get you going!

I created my layout using patterned papers from the Suave Collection by Authentique.

My title is created from letter stickers by Pink Paislee, JilliBean Soup and Fancy Pants.

I also added lots of texture with flowers from Prima, enamel dots, wood veneer border and a mini film strip from Tim Holtz.

A Valentine's Blog Hop with May Arts Ribbon~

Today the May Arts Ribbon, Ribbonista's band together to showcase some Valentine's Day ideas. Stop by the May Arts Ribbon blog for links to all of the design team inspiration.

Valentine's Day doesn't have to be just for lovers anymore. Send a sweet greeting to a close friend, your mother or sibling, or even a co-worker who could use a little love. Craft, create and share this Valentine's Day!

The base of my card is created with just basic cardstock.
I then added the strips of Adhesive Velvet Ric Rac. At the top of this I added a single piece of 1.5" Red Tulle, which I knotted and adhered in the back of the card.

I added some My Mind's Eye patterned papers to my Curtsey Boutique small heart doily. Voila...a sweet and simple Valentine that is full of texture and shine.

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out my Valentine, and be sure to hop along with some of the other May Arts Ribbon, Ribbonistas!

You Brighten My Day~

Just a pretty little layout that I created using a photo of Sean & I from the summer.
An evening at a beach we call the "Dog Beach" where Kya can run and play off leash in Stratford, PEI. A perfect place to watch the sun set over Charlottetown.

The green chevron ribbon is from May Arts.

The dyed doilies, mini white shipping tags and baker's twine are from the Curtsey Boutique.
