Sketchabilities Reveal #126~

Is it that time again already?? YES! It's Sketchabilities Reveal Day for Sketch #126.
This week I chose to work with the Market Street collection from My Mind's Eye, definitely a favourite of mine these days.

Be sure to take a really close look at all of the little details that Karan puts into her sketches! So much inspiration here!

I used lots of the coordinating embellishments from the Market Street collection. I also added some dyed doilies, a large red shipping tag and a chalkboard tag from the Curtsey Boutique.

Thanks so much for stopping by to check out my reveal for Sketch #126! Be sure to stop by and take the challenge for yourself!

Indian Summer: Love This~

As some of you may know, I subscribe to a monthly kit club called Scrap Shotz. I do so, because I just LOVE to get happy mail, and the surprise of fabulous product monthly.
I try not to peek at what will be coming before it ships, I like to open the box and OOooOo and AaaaAhhhh over all the goodies.
I have never been disappointed with my kits. But I must say this kit in particular has been one of my favourites. It is the Indian Summer collection from We R Memory Keepers.

In October I attended the Gadget Girls Mega Crop. 150 fabulous crafty ladies in one spot papercrafting for the weekend. I will admit right now though, that I was so busy....I only completed 2 layouts! This is one of them.
Another thing I like about these kits, is that it makes it super easy to pack for a crop. The kit has everything in one bag...I just throw in photos that would match the papers.

As always though, I did add a couple more little things. Buttons of course, and some coordinating May Arts Ribbon.

I spy that beautiful grey Tulle Butterfly from the Curtsey Boutique.

Thank you so much for stopping by to check out #1 of 2 of my completed Gadget Girls layouts!

Life Is Good~

Today I'm sharing a layout that I created with lots of golden sparkle.
I am loving the glitz of gold on layouts recently.

I created this layout featuring Vintage Gold Paper Effects by DecoArt.
For a complete tutorial on how I created with it, click HERE.

Some fun stuff I played with to create this layout.

I chose the You Are My Happy collection from Teresa Collins Designs, it already had hints of gold in the patterns.
The fabulously sparkly gold ribbon is from May Arts Ribbon.

Check out my tutorial over at DecoArt using the Vintage Gold Paper Effects.

Life Emporium Class~

I am so excited to be able to attend yet another crop with My Stamping Studio in Windsor, NS later this month. When I found out late that I was able to attend, Kelly and I sat down and figured out what I could do for a class.

Today's post is dedicated to just that. This is a closer look at the class that I will be teaching at My Stamping Studio's fall crop.

I chose to work with the Life Emporium collection from Teresa Collins Designs. It is no secret that she is one of my favourite designers, and this collection does not disappoint.

I spy some oh so pretty adhesive backed May Arts Ribbon!

I hope to see some of you at the crop later this month. To sign up for this class you can contact Kelly at My Stamping Studio. Even if you are not attending the crop, you can most definitely still attend the class.
Thanks for stopping by!

May Arts Christmas Card Blog Hop~

I am so excited to take part in this May Arts Ribbon, A Handmade Christmas Card Hop today!
Be sure to head on over to the May Arts blog to check out all of the other beautiful creations and have your chance to win some stunning ribbon.

I had a plan in mind for my card, but then received a Christmas ribbon sampler in the mail from May Arts and got inspired to create something completely different.

I used the Simple Stories Handmade Holiday collection for the base of my card.

I used 4 types of May Arts ribbon on this card.

I used DecoArt Gold Dazzlin' Metallics on an old piece of chipboard I had in my stash.

Thank you so much for stopping by as a part of this Handmade Christmas Card Blog Hop!

Sketchabilities Reveal #125~

It's time to reveal the sketch itself and what I have created being inspired by it. Then it's time for you to take the challenge and have some fun too!

Here is my bright and fun layout I created based on Sketch #125.

As always I adore the detail in Karan's sketches. I had fun incorporating all of the layers and textures.
I used the Nine & Co. collection from Teresa Collins for my layout. I love all of those hints of gold!

I created  part of my border using some oh so pretty orange chevron ribbon from May Arts. Love how it turned out!

Gadget Girls: Kit Re-Design~

Hello All!
This is a post dedicated to the kit that I created for the Gadget Girls Fall Mega Crop.
I used the Market Street Collection from My Mind's Eye. The papers are gorgeous and versatile, so I thought that I would play with the patterns for a bit before adhering the final product.

So these photos will give you an idea of what the layout could look like if you used the flip side of some of the patterns.

This is the layout that I finally decided on.

Thanks for popping by! If you'd like more scrappy inspiration be sure to Follow the blog here or find and follow me on Pinterest.

All That Glitters~

I swear I am part crow, I love anything that glitters and shines. This layout does exactly that!
For a complete tutorial to create this layout, click HERE.

It's not hard to see that I wanted Gold to be the theme for this glitzy layout. I really wanted to play up the superstar theme.

The star ribbon, gold mesh, gold chain ribbon and the sequins heart are all from May Arts Ribbon. I was in golden heaven when I searched through their site at all of their golden offerings.

Who needs patterned paper when you have all of these beautiful golden embellishments. I only used black and white cardstock. I also used gold glitter washi tape.
