Paper, Buttons & Clay Christmas Trees~

This is the latest addition to my own personal Christmas decor. Paper, Buttons and Sculpey clay Christmas Trees. Although a little time consuming, these tress were pretty easy to make. For a complete tutorial, pop on over to Buttons Galore & More.

I created the stars from Sculpey clay, and then added the buttons after baking.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have a very crafty holiday season.

One Left Over~

I love Teresa Collins. I think I have mentioned this before. One of her coordinating embellishments with the Memorabilia Collection is sequins. I knew when I saw it that I wanted to create a large glittering layer of it. A tedious process I must say. There are 200 sequins in the pack and to create the layer that you see in my layout, took 199!
I was a little nervous when rounding that last corner, whether I would have enough...or scrap the idea and move onto the next. But in the end I love how it turned out.

Although you can't tell, but Zoe's dress had a golden coloured sequins top, so I thought the glitz worked well.

I hope the next time you have the chance to add a little glitz to your project, that you choose "of course"! Thanks for stopping by.

Christmas Altered Canvas~

Today I'm sharing an altered canvas that I created for a class here in Sydney. I loved playing with all the mixed media to create it.
To my surprise the ladies that attended the class LOVED getting a little messy and creating it as well.

Holiday Brownie Bites~

Margaret always asks me to make something special for her school parties.
So for today's Band Christmas Party, I made these little Holiday Brownie Bites. They were pretty easy to make, and they taste fantastic!

Recipe:
1 Boxed Brownie Mix
White Melting Chocolate
Candy Canes (chopped)
Large Marshmallows

I prepared the brownie batter as per the box. Spoon into lined mini cupcake pan. My brownie mix said to bake for 30-35 minutes in a regular pan. So for minis, I baked them for 15 minutes.
While they are in the oven, cut your marshmallows in half (I use scissors). Place a half marshmallow on each of the baked minis. Place back in the oven for another 2 minutes.
Remove from oven, and let cool.
Melt your white melting chocolate. Dip the tops of the cooled marshmallows into the melted chocolate and sprinkle with chopped candy canes.
Voila! Super cute, and fantastic tasting treats!

Quick Gift Idea: Recipe Journal~

Do you need a quick little crafty gift to add to a gift basket or perhaps to give with a gift card this Holiday Season? Well this cute little Recipe Journal could be your answer!
A Recipe Journal is a useful little gift, that I personally use all the time. I look for new recipes online from time to time, and before I try them, I will write them down in the journal. Once it is tested and family approved then I will commit a recipe to a card in my recipe box.

A recipe journal can be created using any regular notebook. I simply covered it with some pretty patterned papers and embellishments, and voila! A sweet and simple gift.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you include something handmade in your Holiday giving this season.

Sculpey Christmas Ornaments~

I have really enjoyed creating with Sculpey clay. During this busy time of year, I have found sitting down in the evening and creating with clay, very relaxing.
Here are a couple more of my creations.

First is the sweet and simple little snowman, with super cute button accents.

Second is my cute little Christmas lamb.

Thanks for stopping by, and I hope at some point during the busy holiday season that you  take time to sit back, create and relax.

Winter & Holidays Challenge~

This is my very last post for Use It Tuesday, the challenge blog that encourages you to dig into your stash of crafting goodies to create.
The creators and organizers of Use It Tuesday have decided to end the challenge blog's life on a high note, and focus on other future endeavors. Thank you for having me as a part of your very creative design team and all the best in the future.

So for this last challenge, the theme is Winter & Holidays.

I chose to go with a Christmas theme. I have had this pack of K&Company die cuts for about 5 years, I have used some of them creating cards. But still had a huge stack.

I created a wreath of sorts out of the die cuts, by first tracing a light circle in pencil, the same size as the piece that gets adhered over top.

It created a fun festive look to go along with last years photo of Margaret at her Christmas Band Concert.

Thank you to all of you that have taken the challenge in the past at Use It Tuesday, and I look forward to challenging you in the future.
Thanks for stopping by!

This is a quick crafty share of a gift that I made for my brother for Christmas, I am fairly certain he will not read this post and spoil the surprise.

I created this little guy using Sculpey clay, and inspiration from a slightly different little Yoda craft that I saw on Pinterest. Loving playing with Sculpey clay!
